It's a BOY!

As our 20 week ultrasound approached, we realized the timing of this would take place after we were planning to be in Tennessee with our family. Since we were wanting to find out and then share the gender in person with our family, we went on our own to get an ultrasound ahead of time. It was a very anticipated appointment!

Ever since we found out we were pregnant, Tommy just knew we were having a boy. I honestly did not have a feel on it, but since I came from a family of two girls and well I am a girl, I guess I just assumed on some level that we'd have a girl. However, we knew no matter what we were both going to be so happy. So when we were sitting in the exam room watching our baby dance on the screen, it was the happiest news to hear we were expecting a baby boy! The fact we found this out on Cinco de Mayo only added to the festive nature of this news.

We wanted to share the news with whole family at one time and have a little fun with it. So we prepared cards that had 'boy' and 'girl' on the front but they all contained the ultrasound picture showing our baby boy. We also made mustache and lip props for a little added photo fun. On May 10th when we arrived in Tennessee, we had the whole family gather at Kay and Tom's house (Lara and Matt were there via Facetime), we had everyone pick a card and prop based on what gender they thought the baby was.

Then we had everyone open the cards and find out that we were having a BOY!!

Everyone was so excited to know baby Wolohon was going to be a boy and we can't wait to meet him in October!
